    Saturday night fever

    It’s not even 8pm
    We’re already in bed, exhausted
What a beautiful day we had
Laughing, singing and playing with your dad
Having so much fun with grandpa and grandma

    Now it’s time to rest
Settle back into our little nest
    And right at this second
Listening to the rain falling outside
    It clicked

Like the buckle on your tiny car seat
The unbreakable bond between a mother and a daughter, established
As if the ombilical cord was back
But this time it ain’t soft and swirly
It’s as strong as steel, platinum gold

    Our souls were intertwined
    Our hearts are now linked
Wherever you are, wherever you go
We got this landline to reach each other
Whenever you need me, in nanoseconds I’ll astrotravel to you

I swear, like my dad swore to me a long time ago
By the moon in the sky and the stars
    I’ll be there

    The games we play

We’re not even 3 weeks old
And already the algorithm got to us
    Imperatives to develop your brain
They’re already after your precious attention

    You need stimulation, experts say
You need the right kind or you won’t grow up
The pressure is on, we have to get started

    How much does it cost?
    Money is no object
We have to get wooden pieces
A new kit every 2 months
    That will bring you success

    But we know better
    The world is our playground
    Black and white contrast cards?
    We got you covered
Mommy eats her dark chocolate and white almond milk while breastfeeding
    That will do for now

  • Motherhood

    A new friend

    I got a new buddy
    Together we laugh and share
    We dance and party
    From 5am to 11pm

    There’s nothing stopping us
    We’re bouncing all day long
We don’t want to sleep, we need to keep rolling
The gym ball is our favourite trick

    We’re having a blast
    So much fun
We just need to be careful
To never forget the OG, the first BFF
Please invite Daddy to the party
    He’s the best dancer ever
    He will rock your world

    Mon ange

    Merci merci
    Merci mon ange
    De nous accompagner ici

    Keep up

    The days are blissful
    What a miracle
To spend my time with you
Your heart beating close to mine

    The nights are long
Getting to bed is not easy
We have so much to do, so little time

In the darkest hour before dawn
After hours of feeding your body and your soul
I wonder if I’ll ever be able to keep up

Keep up and you’ll be kept up, the teaching says
So I find solace in the blessing
That you’re so perfect I could cry
    Maybe I do sometimes
Watching you sleep as the sun rise

    Ardas Bahee

You cry you cry you cry
    I get it my love
It’s not easy being in a body

    Yes you’re a little gassy
    It hurts in your belly
    But we both know
    There’s an understory

You fall asleep in my arms
And for a while you’re wandering around
Still in the outer space, a cosmic being
    Connected way beyond our realm

    Then you slightly wake up
    And in between worlds realize
    You’re limited now

    Embodied in the physical plane
    Your infinite soul still acclimates
    To this incarnation you’ve taken

You cry you cry you cry
    But all I hear is
The answer is in the prayer
    Ardas Bahee Ram Das Guru
    Welcome to Earth my angel

  • Kundalini Yoga,  Motherhood

    My little yogi

    I saw you coming strong
    My little yogi
In a Kundalini class at home

    You bright pink light
Pushed aside all other baby souls
Made your way to my heart

    You wanted to be born
In the golden lineage all along
    Determined to make your mark
You imprinted my soul from day one

I saw you coming from afar
Since then your light never left mine
    Our souls intertwined
    Forever and beyond

I don’t know your story and maybe you don’t know mine
    We’ll figure it out together
    But know for sure
That it’s a blessing to be your mother

  • Motherhood

    Sunday morning

    You’re so beautiful I just can’t
I’m supposed to feed you sitting up straight
Follow the method so we can both later sleep
I just got lazy my love, rest peacefully
You can graze a little tonight on my boobie
We’ll lay together in the wee hours
    You’ll eat a little, I’ll watch carefully
Maybe I’ll regret later when the whole day goes a-wire
Because we didn’t follow proper structure
But right now I feel native and free
You sleeping so close to me
For a little while this will be our rebellion
    Midnight snack and onto dawn
    We were both so exhausted
    I thought we deserved
A good breakfast in bed on this Sunday morning

  • Motherhood

    Bigfoot

    Such a teeny tiny baby
    Yet your feet my love

    I get it
You got big shoes to fill
    There’s no other explanation

Your mission is tall, you need to stand strong
A solid foundation to build on

Those feet are made to step on
Earth as the Grace of God
    I’m already proud of you
You won’t ever let anyone step on those toes

    TGIF

On a hot and sunny Friday afternoon
We’re on our fourth walk of the day
You like the outdoors what can I say

    We’re looking at the cars
It’s the end of the week
Workers coming home for a well-deserved break

    I’m exhausted
My work is around the clock
With you there is no break
    Eat, diapers, play, sleep

    On repeat
    Without missing a beat
    I can’t stop
    It’s a 24/7 thing

And I wouldn’t change any tiny piece of it
    I’m pushing myself
Beyond any limit I’ve ever known
My heart has never been more full

    So full of gratitude
    So happy I could die
    Except the mission is calling
    I cannot quit

    Life is expensive
    Gotta work
    Love is expansive
    Get to work
